Ski & Boarderweek - Val Thorens - 2012
The 16th edition of the Ski & Boarderweek Val Thorens is going on from 15.12.-22.12 2012: you'll get one week of snow flurry, sports onone or two boards, contests, music and party- alert at the beginning of the winter season!
With it's altitude of 2300 meters, Val Thorens is the highest skistation in Eeurope. Furthermore the station is part of the "Trois Vallees",the biggest skiing area in Europe, which reaches up to 3200 meters. That means: pre- christmas snow- guarantee!
Journey by bus
This year, we offer travel by coach from many cities in Germany:
the coaches leave on Friday, the 14.12. in the evening and will arrive in Val Thorens on Saturday morning.
The coaches leave Saturday, 22.12. in the afternoon - the bus serving the Eastern route leaves in the morning of 22.12. already
The basic rate for the travel by coach is 110 Euro, depending on where you enter the bus, additional charges will be levied as followed:

1 case or 1 bag, maximum weight 20kg
1 pair of ski/ 1 snowboard plus one pair of shoes

Facts about the coaches:The 3*- and 4* Coaches are equipped with toilet, DVD/ Video system, air- condition and fridge. All coaches are equipped with winter- configuration which enclosureswinter tyres and snowchains. The drivers are experienced in winter- and mountain riding. All coaches are smoke- free, but enough cigarette breaks will be held duringthe travel.
Rail & Ride:
If you don't live in the close surrounding of one of the coach stops, there is also the possibility of booking a rail&ride train ticket. With this ticket,you'll be able to travel from your hometown to one of our bus stops by train. The prices include the roundtrip ticket for one person.
Distance one way ( hometown ? bus station) level 1 ( up to 400km) / level 2 ( from 400km).
Individual travel
Val Thorens is a car- free village which means that it is prohibited to park cars on the streets. But you are allowed to unpack your car on the date of arrival infront of your accomodation.
After that, the car has to be parked on one of the car-parks or in one of Val Thorens# garages. A shuttle bus can be taken for free to your accomodation.
Because of the weather- and snow conditions, snowchains are useful and needed.

- 7 day parking costs you roundabout 69 Euro
- if you book and pay 1 month in advance (www.valthoparc.com) the rate is 62,50 Euro
