The 16th edition of the Ski & Boarderweek Val Thorens is going on from 15.12.-22.12 2012: you'll get one week of snow flurry, sports onone or two boards, contests, music and party - alert at the beginning of the winter season!
With it's altitude of 2300 meters, Val Thorens is the highest skistation in Eeurope. Furthermore the station is part of the "Trois Vallees",the biggest skiing area in Europe, which reaches up to 3200 meters. That means: pre- christmas snow- guarantee!

Besides the Ski & Boarderweek events, Val Thorens has more to offer!
As common in French ski resorts, all residences are, located on or close to the slopes. That means you're able to jump out of bed into your boots, literally.Still some energy left after skiing and boarding? No problem, the "centre sportif" which is located in the village centre offers you some more sportingpossibilities. There you can find a squash- and volleyball- court, a swimmingpool and a sauna, too.
Lack of food and beverage? No problem either, shopping possibilites are just a stone's throw away.
And by night, Val Thorens shows it's face as a party- stronghold...
Val Thorens- the skiing area
Framed by several 3000 meter high mountains, Val Thorens as the highest ski village in Europe is located at an altitude of 2300 meters. In Val Thorens itself, thereare 140 kilometres of slopes waiting to be discovered. The altitude allows excellent skiing conditions and a great panoramic view over the French, Italian and Swissalps with more than 1000 summits. Of course without climbing: a modern lift carries you up to "Cime de Caron", the best spot to see the whole area.
The largest connected skiing area on earth
The Trois Vallees with their highest point at 3230 metres are the largest connected skiing- area on our lovely planet. With 200 lifts and 600 kilometres ofslopes, the Trois Vallees offer you endless possibilities to get in touch with powder. Due to easy slopes which connect the different ski stations it is no problemeven for beginners to discover the whole area. Besides all degrees of difficulties ( easy slopes: 312km; medium slopes: 216km; difficult slopes: 72km ) the off-pistevarieties seem endless, too...
Snow Park Val Thorens
Since 2007, the new snowpark of Val Thorens offers a huge amount of kickers and rails for every level of experience. It is locatedright above the Grand Fond gondola. There, the #plateau# t-bar lift with its function as the snowpark- lift allows you to exit exactly at the kickerof your desire. All ski- and boardercross contests take place here.

Snow-Guarantee
Due to the altitude and very good climatic conditions, snow can be guaranteed from the end of November until April. In average, 10 metres of snow fall during aseason. If not, the huge amount of snow cannons ensures skiing fun anyway.
Ski & Boarderweek: Party day and night...
Sporty highlights combined with first- class party- and music programme: boredom stays at home!
Whilst visiting the Ski & Boarderweek, you are able to show your partying and apres- ski abilities on the slopes during the day and in the clubs at night. No matter if on Snowbase, "Hüttenabend" or the opening and closing party, several DJ- crews and bands make sure that boredom won't come up.
The Snowbase
The first spot to meet after skiing is the snowbase, where different DJ- Crews and Bands show up to get your tired bones moving again. Look forward to well- knownand new acts, who make sure that you'll get on the dancefloor in no time!
"Hüttenabend"
As one of this year's apres- ski highlights, the "Hüttenabend" takes place in a hut in the middle of the Val Thorens skiing area. Amongthe stars, you'll be moving your bodies to the finest tunes- the true Ski & Boarderweek party- feeling! But be aware and keep some power for the descent, whereyou get equipped with a torch. Getting home just guided by your own light makes this ride unforgetable!
Night specials
You're not finished yet? No problem - the opening and closing parties are inherent parts of the Ski & Boarderweeks' party programme, but on the other evenings night can become day too. Val Thorens local clubs like Malaysia, le Monde or Dick's tea bar attract with different styles of music and special deals forBoarderweek- customers!
Snowboard- Video premiere
On Sunday evening, literally as an introduction to the winter season, we are going to present one of the latest snowboard movies. Just watch and enjoy, and maybethere are some tricks you can try yourself the day after in the easy fun park!
Boarderweek Djs and Bands
The planning of Ski & Boarderweek's music- line up is in progress, as soon as we have further information we make sure to let you know... but there's a fact you can already be sure about: old and new acts will fulfil the whole live- experience!

Here, you can find the accomodation which meets your demands. No matter if you and your travel party want a simple room just for dressing up and sleeping, or if youwant to live like kings and relax at your fireplace every evening, here you can find anything from classic apartments to super-deluxe holiday- flats!
In order to give you some orientation we classify the apartments to the categories Classic, Comfort, Deluxe and Superdeluxe. Please consult the respective apartment description to see the details of each residence.
Attention: by checking in, you have to leave a bond for the residences, paid in cash or by credit- card. The amount of the bond and the type of payment dependon the category you booked in. Details will be sent with your booking confirmation. In Val Thorens, you have to pay a visitor's tax which means there is anadditional charge between 1 Euro - 1,5 Euro p.p/ day. This tax has to be paid at the reception on the day of check- in.

You're travelling alone or with just two persons? In our classic, comfort and deluxe category, you are able to book anyhow. Then, we will accomodate you together with others who booked the same category in one apartment. In our reservation system, please choose "Appartment mit anderen# which means#apartment with others".
