The camp is placed in Razo beach (northwest of Spain,Galicia). Razo is a little village with an incredible beach with 7 km of sand and beach breaks. Razo is considered as the most favored surf spot of Galicia. Razo is a small village, where you can find two restaurants, a few bars, a hostel and music bars, where you can have fun with the local people. There is also an area to play football, basket and volley in front of the beach.
In the camp we have internet wi fi and in the bars in front of the beach you also have internet access. Razo belongs to an area called Costa da Morte (Death Coast) that has thousand of incredible beaches, where Razo is the biggest and most important. You can find here good restaurants, a lifeguard service and a great environment to discover. Razo is quite popular for its good gastronomy and for its consistent waves.
Razo belongs to Carballo, the closest bigger town with a population of 20.000 inhabitants. Here you can find all the conveniences of a big city like cinemas, restaurants, discos, music bars, surf-shops and skate areas. In case of emergency you can also find a hospital. Carballo is situated a 30min drive from A Coruña airport and 45 minutes from the airport of Santiago de Compostela.
The Camp
We provide two surf houses at the beach with including Restaurant Service for breakfast, lunch and dinner as to make you taste some typical Spanish food.(Best seafood of Spain). From the living room you can see directly the sets of waves coming. All you have to do is put your wet suit on, grab your surf board and enjoy one of the best peeks of the beach - just in front of the camp. We further have a tv -dvd where you can either watch some pros surfing or learn from videotaped runs of former surf students.Among the premises of the camp we also have a kitchen and a big terrace where you can rest, sunbathe, look for waves, play pingpong or enjoy parties and BBQs. When it comes to your accommodation, the surf house has shared rooms and private rooms. The shared rooms are for 4- 6 guests. If requested, we can also help you out with other accommodations outside of our surf camp.
The Surf Lessons
Surf lessons are held by qualified instructors in English, Spanish or German. All surf teachers have licenses of the Galician Surfing Association. We offer classes for all levels of surfers - no matter if beginner, medium or advanced.For every level, we drew up special programs as to teach every student properly. Step by step and under strict security measures, our instructors will get you on the board and make you improve your skills. In addition to your practical training on the water, you will also have some theory units including video presentations and personal corrections. For the material, we work with bic surf boards for beginners and slash boards for medium to advanced level. Our wetsuits are from Oxbow.
