Bali
Welcome and Selamat Datang at the ultimate island of your dreams, where not only the odour of millions of flowers will put a spell on you - Bali! An incredible fauna & flora, breathtaking landscapes with volcanoes and deep forests, a fantastic climate all year round and friendly & easygoing inhabitants...all these aspects make a paradise you never want to leave again. You are looking for a surf holiday destination that has that certain "je ne sais quoi"? Here you are...
Location & Environment
Only a half-hour ride from the airport, our surfcamp is directly situated on the peninsula Bukit. It takes you only a short hop from the camp to the beautiful Balinese beaches. Within spitting distance you can get to some internet cafés - as per Kelly Slater they make the best brownies right here - to either have some delicious snacks or check your internet businesses. You can also bring your own laptop and use the network at place. There's even a Mexican restaurant right around the corner.
After a 45min ride from our camp you'll get to Kuta where cinemas attract visitors with English movies for 2. Kuta is also reputed to have the highest density of shops worldwide. Beside perfect wave conditions, there are a lot more wonders of nature to be marvelled at: waterfalls, rice terraces, hot springs, the lake Batur and the biggest hindu temple located at the foot of Bali's highest mountain and the volcano Agung.
No matter if climbing trips, horse-riding at the beach or wellness and health spas...at Bali almost everything is possible. For "total immersion", we can also organize trips for divers.
Even when it's very unlikely...but in case there are no good waves, we will take you on some excursions to the surroundings. You can also explore the island on your own initiative by either using our mopeds or another given transport facility.
For all "nocturnal" guests, we definitely recommend a night-trip to Kuta where various bars and clubs wait to be rocked.
Not for nothing are Bali's waves some of the world's most famous ones. During the summer months the swell is very constant. Water temperature is about 28°C...which allows surfers to rip their sessions dressed in board shorts and lycra-shirt. It takes only two minutes to get to Padang Padang...and mega hotspots like Uluwatu, Bingin and Impossibles are only a stone's throw from our camp, reachable within a 10min ride.
Board & Lodging
You are accommodated at traditional open bungalows that are embedded in our 1.400m˛ garden-areal. At our camp-house, there's a kitchen, a bathroom and lounges at your disposal. The cosy grass bungalows accommodate up to 8 guests, 2 at one unit.
In the mornings, we will prepare a generous breakfast and in the evenings a delicious dinner of local and international viands will definitely make your day. From time to time, our lovely chef spoils us with tasty milkshakes or hands out snacks during the day (can be ordered in advance). Feel free to use the fridge!
When you're looking for absolute relaxation after some great surf sessions you can chill out at one of the hammocks in the tropical garden, on the terrace or at the pavilion.
Surf
For beginners we offer special rates at a surf school at Legian. Coaching includes about 4 hours training per day (theory & practice). All surf instructors are qualified and experienced. When taking part in a surf class, you will be picked up at the camp and brought back after the session.
For intermediate and advanced surfers we have Teko, our surf guide. Teko, as a local, knows every spot like the back of his hand and thus he always knows where to find the perfect wave of the day. Together with him, you'll head for various spots...differing in breaks, levels etc.
In case you don't have your own equipment, we have a few boards for rental...on request.
