For the 6th year in a row, we proudly present the freistil Skatecamp. What could be better than meeting up with some cool skaters and have some great summer sessions under the atlantic sun? To our mind, there's not much left to be cooler...that's why 2009 will be another year full of skateboarding: get on the board and let the good times roll at the freistil Skatecamp at Moliets Plage.
Location & Environment
Summertime at the atlantic coast! Here at the French Cote d'Argent you will find perfect conditions for your action- & party holiday. Welcome to the longest European beach and welcome to the freistil camp at Moliets Plage. The lively little city has everything you could ask for: bars, a skate-park, internet spots, a promenade with snack shops and gambling machines, cosy cafés and a number of surf-shops.
Board & Lodging
Our freistil camp is situated directly behind the dunes and right in the middle of a shady pinewood at the ***Camping site "Les Cigales". The well-attended camping site is provided with a snack bar, a supermarket, telephone boxes and internet access. You can also get sporty on the basketball-, soccer- or volleyball-court.
Only a short walk away from the beach, we spoil you with all conveniences needed for a perfect summer: freistil builds up its own little "camp" including a big kitchen tent and a canopied dining area. Further on, we have a material-store full of equipment you can lend free of charge: bikes, skateboards, beach games, board games, sunshades and various tools. In the middle of our "village" we set up our spacious party tent with its romantically lit chill-out garden. In case that there's a rainy day - no problem: let's grab some cokes, crisps and popcorn, watch some good (surf-) movies.
When it comes to your meals, we have a lot more to offer than just snacks: a nourishing and delicious breakfast including coffee, hot chocolate, tea, juices, cornflakes, cereals, fruit, baguette, cheese and a selection of cold cuts and sweet spreads will guarantee a good start into the morning! Use the rich buffet to prepare some packed lunch for the day. As days at the beach quicken the appetite, in the evenings you will enjoy a fresh and excellent 3-course-menu (salad, main course and dessert). No worries - vegetarians are kept in mind. Once a week we need your support: every guest is kindly asked to give our kitchen team a hand to prepare the dinner.
Skateboard Training
Qualified skate-instructors, various skateparks and smashing real street spots expect all levels of riders! This is the place to ride your skateboard! No matter if you haven't been standing on a board, yet or if you're professionally riding - our coaches will respond individually to every participant of the training. Thanks to a limited capacity of 8 persons/group (girls are very welcome) the skate spots are rarely crowded and feelings of success are guaranteed. Don't forget: the most important thing of your skate holiday is rocking some fantastic sessions together and enjoy this fun sport in a relaxed atmosphere!
During your days of training you will get to know some really good spots. Amongst others, we will take you to different day-trips e.g. to Bordeaux (skatepark + street) and to a spot near Biarritz (concrete pools). In addition, there are some smaller skate-parks close to the camp. Let's have some common sessions with the BMX biker of the freistil BMX summercamp and spend several awesome action days at the Atlantic!
In case you don't have your own material, we provide you gratuitously with boards by "Element" and protective equipment by "king kong BMX". If you still don't feel like unforgettable skate-board sessions along the sunny beaches of France, well then you might be interested in another freistil offer.
