Not only for its very exotic flair but also for its fantastic wave conditions, Morocco enjoys great popularity. Especially during the European winter months, surfers love to head for Moroccan surf spots. Get away from your daily routine and spend an unforgettable time at our camp...surf, relax, party and just have a good time!
Location & Environment
Our camp is embedded in a 3 floor Moroccan-styled cottage located 15km north of Agadir at the idyllic village Tamraght. Within walking distance you can easily get to the beautiful beaches. For your morning swell check you just need to go up on our terrace and choose your favourite spot of the day.
Some little shops to get all necessary edibles are just nearby. In Tamraght, you can also find some internet cafés. Within a 5min walk you can get to the local shaper who will be pleased to help you out with smaller and bigger board repairs. Regular visits at a big supermarket at Agadir make sure that even your "western covetousness" can be satisfied.
Every Wednesday, a neighbour village invites guests to a traditional marketplace (souk) offering fresh fruit & vegetables for low prices. There are two big souks at Agadir...wide enough to resemble labyrinths. Beside food and spices these souks also offer Moroccan furnishing and the famous argan-oil which is not only liked for cooking but also for medicinal benefit.
The rather decent nightlife mostly takes place at the touristy Agadir. Various bars, pubs and discos wait to be rocked.
Around Agadir you can find diversified surf spots. Beach breaks and riffs guarantee unforgettable surf sessions for all levels of surfers - no matter if crack or beginner. At winter time, we have a constantly good swell. Water temperature is around 18°C - we recommend our guests to use long wetsuits (3/2 or 3/4).
Board & Lodging
Spread over 3 floors of a Moroccan house, our camp has 5 rooms. Each room has a capacity between 2 and 6 persons. The main bathroom and the kitchen are located at the ground floor. You can find another bathroom at the first floor. At the second floor we set up a cosy Moroccan salon where you can relax, watch videos or read some magazines. Our roof-deck invites you to chill out at one of the daybeds or check the waves. It takes only a 10min walk to get to the closest surf spot.
In the mornings, we will prepare a generous breakfast to optimize your start in the day. In the evenings (except from Sundays) a delicious dinner of local and international viands will definitely make your day. You can also order snacks for the day and as a matter of fact there's a fridge for sharing.
Surfguiding & Material
Qualified and experienced surfguides will give you the straight tips where to find the best waves. For every surfer, no matter if beginner or pro, they'll know the perfect spot and help out with words and deeds. In the time of your surf holiday our coaches take you to various spots...from the banana point for beginners to the boilers for advanced surfers. You are an absolute beginner? No problem...especially you will get an extra treatment by our surf teachers to make sure that you'll feel at ease with the waves.
If you don't have your own board or wetsuit, we can lend you the accordant material for a small fee. (wetsuit 5€/day, beginner board 5€/day, fibre glass board 7€/day).
