Location
Right in the city center but nonetheless directly at the beach - this is where you can find our surf camp in Las Palmas, a lively and multicultural city that never sleeps.
Just in the neighbourhood of the surf camp you can find various surfer bars, international restaurants, hot discos, cosy cafés with sea views, a big shopping center and a concert hall called Auditorio Kraus where cool jazz concerts take place regularly. As a matter of fact, Las Palmas also has a great number of surf shops that offer bargains of surf equipment and fashion.
Beside the pulsating city life, the region also captivates with a breathtaking nature. The blue ocean with its perfect wave conditions and endless beaches romantic as well as the sunsets and secret bays guarantee a recreational holiday.
Board & Lodging
The Oceanside surf camp owns various double-bed apartments, a surf school with professional trainers and a price worthy and well stocked surf shop.
At Las Canteras Beach, the Oceanside apartments are situated only 25 meters from the beach, right next to the breaks of La Cicer. Some of the apartments have an amazing sea view and are very well-equipped with kitchen, TV and DVD-player. Oceanside surf camp offers different programs of surfing adjusted to the necessity of those who are just starting and those who want to improve there technique and level of surfing. We offer lessons of surf- and body board every day from 10:30 to 16:30 hrs.
When it comes to alimentation, you can feel free to use the well-equipped kitchen. In addition, we provide you with snacks, picnics, packed lunch or dinner - depending on the package you choose.
How to get to the Oceanside camp: within the surfcamp package, the transfer from /to the camp is included. All other guests can either book our airport transfer or use one of the busses that run every 15min from the airport to the city centre. From there, a cheap and short taxi ride gets you to our camp.
Surf class
Classes are held in English or Spanish by instructors of the Oceanside & Quiksilver Surf School. Approx. 5 hrs a day, you will be taught in theory and practice of surfing.
All surf instructors of the Oceanside surf camp are professionally trained by the Spanish surf association “Federación Española Surf". Moreover, they are very experienced when it comes to the particularities of the Canarian beaches and waves. Under the direction of Sergio Alvarez, the whole Oceanside surf team will take care of you competently. Considering all safety regulations, your surf teachers make sure that you won´t only have a very fantastic but also a very relaxing surf holiday.
Beginner and intermediate surfer will mostly benefit from our homespot "La Cicer", only a stone's throw from the surf camp. "La Cicer" is situated at one of the most beautiful European city beaches, Las Canteras.
For advanced and very experienced surfers, we also offer surfaris. At this pure surf holiday, the apartment, daily guided sessions and board & wetsuit are provided by the Oceanside camp. Spot checking and transfers are realized with our own van. Depending on meteorological and swell conditions, we thus take you the best spot with the best waves of the day.
When it comes to our equipment, we provide you with boards by Surface/Alder and wetsuits & lycras by Quiksilver.
If you are interested in renting equipment, we can offer you a stock of different boards sized 6,0 - 8,0 and body boards from wave rebel.
