Bookings can be made via internet (online booking), email, telephone or fax.
The final price is composed of the basic price of the accordant category + a possible surcharge for place of departure + a possible surcharge for additional services.
Example: basic price 600€ + 25€ surcharge place of departure + 24€ insurance package = 649€
For most of our destinations, we additionally offer a well-priced insurance package. Thanks to this full-service-package you are covered all around and thus you can look forward to a relaxed holiday. It's totally up to you, if you book this package or not. During your booking process you just have the choice of deciding for or against it by making one simple click.
After closing your booking process you will get a confirmation via email (pdf document). This document serves as your bill. A down payment amount of 150 Euro will be stated. As in case of rescission from your travel the insurance immediately becomes effective, the insurance premium needs to be paid together with the down payment amount.
The invoiced amount needs to be transferred within 10 days upon receipt. Subsequent to your transfer you will get an email confirming your payment. Please transfer the outstanding payment on your own initiative by 30 days before your departure. You can either transfer the total amount at once or you can pay by instalments. Please make sure to state your booking number at every payment you authorize.
You'll have access to your travel documents by login in to your freistil account.
The age of our guests differs from destination to destination. To a few camps, you can already travel when you are just 13 years old (like the freistil Junior Surfcamp or the Skatecamp). For other destinations you need to be at least 16 (with parents' consent) or even 18 years old. You can find proper information about the minimum age under each camp description.
When stating the age we refer to the different levels of the "care" of our customers. Understood, that 13years old teenagers need much more attention than 18years old ones. Above all, we act due to the regulatory framework.
In general, the specifications of the age are binding – if the stated minimum age is 16years we won't take any kid younger than 16 to this destination.
As mentioned above, you can find a specification of the minimum age under each camp description. Guests of the freistil Junior Camp are 13-15years old. When you want to book the skate- or the BMX-summercamp you should be at least 13 years old. Nonetheless, there's no age limit for any older skaters or BMX riders – all riders welcome!
The freistil Camps at Moliets Plage are mostly visited by 16-21yrs old. By the end of the season, the average age rises significantly.
The minimum age for the freistil surfhouses at Moliets (and beach-apartments) and Portugal is fixed to 18yrs. However, the average age of our surfhouse-guests is clearly higher. No age limits upwards – everyone enjoying an exclusive surfhouse-flair is most welcome!
Surcharges could be:
- Surcharge for your accordant place of departure, depending on the distance to the starting point of the bus (price for every place of departure gets visible during booking process)
- Airport shuttle transfer service (oneway) e.g. from/to Moliets ?> Bilbo 80 Euro
Reduction could be:
- Individual travel - 75 Euro (off the total amount)
As we have guests from all over Germany, Switzerland and Austria etc. it would be quite impossible to arrange a preliminary meeting. However, via our online-community you can easily get in touch with other travellers.
Via freistil.inside you can easily access your personal freistil user account where all your travel documents are "stored". Simply enter the username and password you registered while booking – et voilà: you can check your documents at any time.
On principle, European citizens are allowed to move freely within the nations of the European Schengen Agreement. For non-Europeans, there might be special entry requirements that probably differ from country to country. As to avoid unexpected restrictions, please check the accordant regulations in advance and contact the respective authorities/foreign departments.
The things/clothes you should bring differ from destination to destination. Just read your travel documents and stick to the given check-list. As mentioned above, your sleeping bag and your travel pad can be transported separately, means outside of the main luggage. Don't forget to put your name/address on every piece of baggage.
In most European countries, you have to have a valid ID/child ID, an international health insurance certificate/card and your travel voucher. The voucher is part of your travel documents available at your personal online user account. Please don't forget to bring your filled emergency paper.
You can start your journey from various cities in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The routing will be generated dynamically and in accordance with other booked places of departure. In case you booked a certain place of departure which (due to "under-booking") cannot be approached by our coach, freistil works with "railway-feeders". That means, freistil provides train tickets from your originally booked place of departure to the next city approached by the bus. This "railway-feeder" service is included and doesn't cost any extra fee.
The time of departure depends on the distance between the place of departure and Moliets Plage. Time of arrival at the destination should be the morning of the next day. Due to the "dynamic generation" of the routing you will get the detailed itinerary around 2 weeks before departure. For the return journey we cannot give any concrete information in advance. Usually the bus leaves Moliets Plage in the afternoon between 4-7pm...thus, you can roughly compute your time of arrival.
Security is our top priority. When it comes to security measures, compromises are not accepted! Therefore, we only work with reliable and carefully examined bus companies. Every three months the coaches undergo intermediate inspections; every six months the brakes are tested and once a year the "Technical Inspection Agency" makes overall controls at each coach. For every journey, 2-3 drivers are on the bus. Working and resting periods are strictly maintained. We only work with modern coaches that are equipped with video/DVD, music player, WC, air condition and other amenities.
Yes, that's possible...when special arrangements have been made in advance.
Yes, that's possible. Every guest that doesn't use our coach service but travels individually instead will get a refund of 75 Euro (from the basic price, when coach transfer is actually included in the booked package). For your individual travel to our freistil surfhouse and the beach-apartments at Moliets Plage we recommend our Ride'n Surf service.
You can find your exact time of departure stated on the voucher of your travel documents. As to avoid any complications, please get there at least 15min before the announced departure time. If the departure time changes e.g. due to heavy traffic you will be informed immediately.
No. We will take care of your physical well-being as soon as you'll get to the surfhouse / beachapartment or camp. On the journey itself, you should take care of yourself when it comes to food. Very often, the busses have a variety of buyable drinks on board. In addition, the drivers are instructed to regularly take breaks at petrol stations and service areas. As not to strain your holiday budget already at the beginning of your vacation, we recommend bringing your own food & beverages from home.
For coach trips to Moliets Plage the following "rule" applies: like in an airplane, the storage space is limited. Therefore, we kindly ask our guests to either bring one suitcase or one travelling bag plus one piece of hand luggage per traveller. Unfortunately, we cannot take any excess luggage - not even for an extra charge. In your own interest, your hand luggage should be limited to one single piece. Your luggage won't be insured automatically. To be on the safe side, you should additionally book an insurance package. Sleeping bags and sleeping pads don't have to be put into the main piece of luggage. They can go extra - in that case, please don't forget to put your name on them. When travelling by plane, be aware of the dependent maximum weight of your baggage.
Please check cheap flights on your own initiative. There are low cost carriers like Air Berlin, Germanwings, Ryanair and Tuifly flying to Bilbao or Bordeaux. Depending on the date of your departure, the season and the degree of utilisation air fares can vary enormously. Basically, one can say: the higher the demand, the higher the price! Means: the earlier you book, the less you probably pay. If you need any support, feel free to contact us.
Our team is instructed to act in accordance with legal requirements. "Soft alcohol" like wine and beer can - in moderation - be consumed up from an age of 16years. Stronger spirits and cigarettes can only be consumed up from a minimum age of 18years. Due to the law for the protection of the youth, separate treatments (parental permissions) cannot be taken into consideration.
We organize an entertaining and active programme which is included in the basic package. The freistil team makes up soccer, volleyball and basketball matches, various work shops, beauty days, motto parties and other leisure activities. There's no limit for creativity and fantasy! Of course, you're not obliged to participate in the programme...but honestly: you shouldn't miss out the FUN! It's understood that your ideas and suggestions can be integrated...our team is always willing to respond to your favourite pastime.
As everyone has his/her individual needs, it's very difficult to recommend a certain amount of pocket money. As meals are included (as booked), guests only have extra costs for things like souvenirs, snacks, shopping, drinks or trips.
Depending on the chosen destination, various sights and highlights can be discovered. From Moliets, we e.g. organize day-trips or half-day trips to Hossegor (Billabong outlets), to Bordeaux (Dune du Pyla, Bordeaux City), to play paintball, to Biarritz (historical seaport) or to a high ropes course. You can book the trips on site. Prizes are available on request.
Unfortunately we cannot offer a real strongbox - for more than 100 guests at the camp it is just impossible to provide an appropriate safe. According to this matter we can only recommend to bring a lockable hard-top case and use it like a safe. As protection against thefts, there is at least one team member at the camp any time of the day. At nights, vigils care for increased security.
We give you the opportunity to place money; so you don't have to leave your cash at your tent. When checking in on the day of your arrival, you can hand a certain amount over to us for safekeeping. We open a kind of account for you - twice a day you can access this account and withdraw money (and sign for it).
In general, you should always be together in small groups of at least 3 persons. During activities and excursions, there will always be some persons in charge ("teamer") accompanying the group. Of course, when you only want to drop by the supermarket of the camping-site, no one will bar you from doing so. However, it's very important that you act your age and tell the "teamer" when you leave, where you go and who with. Please observe these little rules for your own safety.
We have to act upon the regulations of the law for the protection of the youth. In case you're accompanied by one of our "teamer", exceptions to the rules might be possible.
Our team on site is responsible for the organisation and the realization of the activity programme. However, they do not only function as your contact person but also are at your disposal - day and night - when it comes to personal problems. For any problems, questions and suggestions, our team will always try to help you out with words and deeds.
On principle, male and female can be accommodated at one tent. In case you're younger than 18years old, we do need a consent form of your parents (this is on legal grounds). If you'd like to share a tent, we recommend to make the booking together - like that, a shared tent can be registered in advance. Please note, that there is the possibility to book a whole tent just for you. For a small fee (bookable at "extras") you can choose the occupancy (e.g. only 2 persons in a tent for 3). When you choose the "normal" occupancy - depending on the degree of utilisation- it's possible that you'll share your tent with other girls/boys.
Yes, that's possible when both parents send an accordant consent form. Provided that the documents are given and the older one agrees to move to the camp of the younger ones (and follow its rules!), there shouldn't be a problem of accommodating you together.
In the description of every offer you can find a rubric called "services & extras". In that, you find the information whether a surf course is already included in your package or if you need to book it as an "extra". At many offers, e.g. the freistil Surfcamps at France, surf lessons are automatically included in your basic services.
We work with a student-coach-ration of 8:1. It's mostly 2 surf-coaches making up a team and taking care of maxim. 16 learners. Small groups guarantee feelings of success and maximum surf fun for every participant.
Surf classes at freistil include training lessons of theory & practice held by licensed, experienced and passionate surf coaches. Schooling is made in English or German. For the time of your surf training, you'll be equipped with wetsuits and BIC boards. As a little present, every participant gets a rashguard that he/she can take home as a souvenir.
